Well, quite properly, the lads brand Lynx have finally come up with it. Whether there is a Latin American theme to their new Lynx ‘Fever’ shower gel I don’t know, but it doesn’t really matter. The whole big maracas thing is firing on all cylinders. In simple terms, use Lynx and your maracas/bollocks will get bigger, girls will want to dance with you and may even give your enormous maracas a fondle later on – you can’t say fairer than that can you?
Like most of the Lynx ads, this is well done, I mean with those ingredients it could have been a fucking nightmare. I’m sure I would have ballsed it up if I’d had a pop at it. They on the other hand, avoid all the sexist, pervy, vulgar stuff and manage to make this huge maraca/bollock routine seem quite fun and a bit of a laugh.
My only quibble is with the front end. There’s something not quite right about the set up, when we see the stinky guy with his tiny maracas, and when he goes off to have a shower. It seems a bit clunky and rushed, maybe they just needed a bit more time to tell the story. There may be a 40 second version around which works better, but otherwise it made me smile.
