Dear Prudence
she's out to play

We may all be facing redundancy and global financial melt down, and some of my more politically minded girl friends are going on demos to start a world revolution, or at least to throw eggs at the leaders of the G20 when they tip up in town this week. Yes, we are living in serious times, but whatever else is going down in terms of the 'end of civilisation as we know it', always remember girls, it's that bikini time of year again. Forget the fact that we may never be able to afford go on holiday ever again, we most certainly can't afford to look like a minger in our bikinis
They start putting the frighteners on us earlier and earlier each year, what with special bikini diets and 'bikinicise' regimes, you can't open a mag or a paper without endless advice on how to look `fabulous' in your bikini.
Personally I think bikinis are a very high risk option, you are more likely to end up looking like a minger, however hard you try, so I tend to avoid them. But even the one piece suits are often cut quite high on the leg and Wilkinson Sword are quite understandably adding to the Bikini overload with a little ad for their bush trimmer. That's not what they call it obviously, but the ad makes it very clear that that is what it does. Various girls walk past various bushes which get magically trimmed.
That's about it really, I suppose you could say it's a bit twee or tacky, but I think it's pretty harmless, and it certainly gets the point across. In fact, what with the pain and the expense of getting a full Brazilian, I think I might look into a Wilkinson Bush Trimmer, though I should find out what it is actually called, For some reason, shop assistants can get a bit shirty if you don't use the right name for their products. I think they think that you are taking the piss or something.

Or a bit tacky?
