They make no attempt in the ad to suggest that what they are creating is real in any way. I suppose I was expecting some sort of match-dissolve to real scene, or some indication that their staff were actually trying to rearrange the real world, for the benefit of their extraordinarily sad and fearful Thomson customers. But no, they stick to the plastic world to the bitter end, and I can only assume that this is deliberate.
One might be tempted to congratulate them on their honesty - Don't worry, on a Thomson Holiday there will be no intrusions from reality, and you will be entirely protected from any sort of real experience. All I can say is, don't bank on it, chances are, the bloody set won't be finished by the time the first punters turn up, and if it is, the sun will probably blow a fuse on the first day. Reality - `tis a bugger.
