Nowhere Man
but used to be big in business

Oh dear, I'm afraid that we may be seeing a lot more of this sort of old tosh, as the credit crunch starts to really bite. I've been through these phases before, the clients get the wind up them on account of the recession, and start trying to do ads for themselves, anything to save a few bob in tough times. It's going to be particularly bad for banks this time round, because they've had to go cap in hand to the government, they can't really be seen to be funding high profile advertising campaigns.
What a bummer, I mean NatWest was a major player, a real big spender, with lots of glitzy expensive ads, I know, I've made some of them, and now here they are reduced to cobbling together a bit of video footage that's been shot in one of their own branches.
I suppose they think that they'll get brownie points from the government for looking like they're having a really miserable time. Well, maybe they will, but I'm just not buying it - they come over like a hopeless operation of low rent cheapskates making completely unbelievable promises. They certainly don't give the impression that they know what they're doing, they just look like a bunch of wallies, and I certainly won't be putting any of my hard earned cash anywhere near the NatWest, until they start to do some proper adverts.
