he's so mean

They're always telling me that teenagers today consume media in a completely different way, whatever that means (up their noses?) and that their brains are `totally reconfigured' in line with our multi media world. Apparently this means they can watch an advert, play a video game, text a friend, download some `tunes' and have a wank, all at the same time, without spilling their guanabana smoothie.
Well I don't know if this is true, but the people who made this advert certainly don't seem to believe a word of it. This sort of crapola was around in the stone age when I was a spotty Herbert, and it hasn't changed a bit. No fast cutting or state of the art visual trickery, just the same wooden acting, same lame story line, and the same diagrams of pus volcanoes. As far as the makers of Clearasil are concerned, teenagers brains have not been reconfigured in the slightest. To them they are still mono-chronic spotty Herberts who can only follow the simplest of stories, told in the most banal way. If they are right, and Clearasil is a successful brand, which no doubt sells gallons of its pustule potions to hormonally challenged teenagers, then I would be tempted to think that in fact teenagers brains remain as foggy and clogged as ever.
