"That looks like.."

"Whoever wrote your.."

Mrs E Rigby
the voice of common sense

I really used to like Thunderbirds when I was a kid. Val,who I do my focus groups with on Thursdays says that Lady Penelope was an `early feminist role model' whatever that means. I know that the special effects aren't up to the same standards that we have now, but we loved it just the same.
I have to say that I think I remember another ad that used Thunderbirds for Kit Kat a while ago, but I'm sure they had a different idea. Even my daughter Saph liked this ad for Specsavers, and she said we should watch a film called Team America, which used the same puppet thing. We did get it out from Blockbusters, and I must say it was a bit of an eye opener.
It was a bit like Thunderbirds, except that the puppets were American, had sex, threw up and used the most terrible language. My Trevor thought it was a real hoot, but I have to say that I didn't think it was that good, more of a cheap laugh in my opinion, and very vulgar. This commercial is not vulgar or unpleasant at all, and in fact it did come through our focus group and we were very positive about it, and I didn't mention the other commercial at all. I know I have got confused about Specsaver commercials before, but I really like this one, and I understand what they are trying to say about their dark glasses.
