I saw an ad for H&M last Christmas, and I thought it was really gloomy and miserable, I didn't like it at all. This one is a lot more festive it doesn't look like a funeral, though it's mostly in black and white, and it's certainly more like a party. The people look a bit more like they're enjoying themselves, and they're all waiting for the host who's called Roberto Cavalli I think. Now that sounds like a fashion designer doesn't it? Not like that Victor and Rolf they had last year, they even sound like a firm of undertakers. There's an old lady in this ad who tells her chauffeur to come back and get her in three weeks, so she looks like she's going to really enjoy herself. If she'd turned up at the party they had last year, she'd have told him to take her straight back home at once if she'd had any sense.
My daughter said she was glad I didn't like the ad they did last year, because she didn't want me to come down to H&M with her on Saturdays to help her choose her outfits. Well, I was quite put out by this, and I haven't been down H&M since then. I told her that I like the new ad, to see what she said, and she said that she didn't care what I thought about H&M ads because she didn't go there anymore, and only saddoes went there.
Well, now I don't know about that, I don't think I'm a saddo, and I always liked H&M so I might go down there and see what they've got. Perhaps their new stuff is more is my kind of thing, maybe that's why she doesn't like it any more . Certainly the ad looks a lot more fun than the one they did last year.
