OK, so we all have to make a living, but this sort of stuff doesn't do us creative chaps any good at all. I mean what is it? There's a load of tellys all hanging off a gantry, and the camera just wombles about while the voice over tells us that we can get lots of free Setanta sports coverage with Virgin. So what, and big deal. Quite frankly the ad would work better with the picture turned off, it's just a dull radio ad with some pointless visuals.
I know from bitter experience that doing an ad for two clients can be a right royal pain in the arse, but these chaps have just thrown in the towel. For Christs sake there's a deal in there, there's something to get hold of, it's free and it's sport, you could do a half decent ad for it.
I'm not one to bang on about professional standards, as you know, but there are limits and this ad is just taking the piss. If you can't do something decent yourselves just send me the fucking brief and I'll sort it out. Come on lads, you're letting the side down.
