Now once upon a time I had an American Express card and apart from the fact that in Europe it was difficult to find anyone who would accept it, the main people I had disputes with were American Express themselves. I can't remember the details, but I am sure I made endless phone calls to Brighton about being charged for an account that I couldn't really use but proved extremely difficult to close down.
On this basis you might think that fraudulent activity on your Amex account would be the least of your problems. But this commercial would seem to indicate otherwise, despite the difficulties of finding anyone who will actually accept the card it appears that extraordinarily dedicated criminals can still put stuff through on our account. Personally I'd keep quiet about this development, but Amex obviously feel there is a problem. The commercial is perfectly decent and well made, but would probably be more appropriate for a more generally acceptable card.
