Ad Story
A woodland scene shows a suspended conker being smashed by another. The pieces form the letters 'WH Smith', and the narrator (Terry Wogan) advises that, every one of their top 20 hardbacks and kids' books is half price, illustrated by 2 bubbles showing a number of books in succession in one of them, and 'Half Price' in the other. He lists the books by author, notes Chris Evans as his replacement, and also his own book in the list, and concludes "smashing prices", as the bubbles burst and turn into falling autumn leaves.
