In a stylish 50's period piece set at night in a city, a young woman in evening dress smiles at a man and they start dancing. They are about to kiss, and the sequence starts to run backwards to some time before their meeting, where she is seen walking backwards up the stairs into her apartment and is shown having just brushed her teeth. A tube of Macleans toothpaste is shown and the narrator advises that 'you never know when it's going to happen, so be ready with Macleans'.
