An off-screen woman reads a parody of Kipling's poem 'If', on the subject of Scottish characteristics, which are illustrated by the acivities of romance, football, festivals and skinny-dipping in the Forth on the screen. A parcel is delivered to a young man in London, and the poem is clearly a message from mother to son accompanying a giftpack of Irn-Bru.
