Ad Story
Hardys was established in 1853 by Thomas Hardy, a pioneering young man from Gittisham, England. He purchased land just 3 miles east of Adelaide and established Bankside cellars, a move that led to the now famous range of Hardys wines. His need to expand the winemaking facilities, combined with his vision for the McLaren Vale region, saw Thomas Hardy establish the Hardys Tintara Winery in this new wine region in 1876.
