The camera sweeps over snow covered pine-forested hills to witness a sword fight in the snow outside a Bavarian mansion. A blond aristocratic young man defeats his dark opponent and strides off to his car, which he drives through mountainous scenery to the strains of Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries'. Arriving at the town to a hero's welcome he takes supper in the tavern, but is keener on observing his car outside than the charms of the buxom waitress.
