Calpol infant suspension is available in 10 ml bottles, 140 ml bottles or in packs of 10 x 5 ml sachets. Each 5 ml of medicine contains 120 mg of Paracetamol Ph Eur. This is the active ingredient. There are also some inactive ingredients in Calpol infant suspension . These are sucrose (sugar), glycerol, sorbitol, methyl hydroxybenzoate, xanthan gum and purified water. The flavouring is strawberry, and the colouring is carmoisine (E122). Each 5 ml spoonful of Calpol infant suspension contains 1.6 g of sorbitol and 2.5 g of sucrose.
